  22. readme.wri file in the Mosaic directory or ask your Internet access provider for

  45. HTML, (HyperText Markup Language), is an evolving standard governing the way hypertext
  46. objects are created and displayed in World Wide Web browsers.  The standards group that
  47. governs HTML is the 
  48. <A HREF="www.ics.uci.edu/pub/ietf/html/">HTML Working Group</A> within the IETF 
  49. (<A HREF="http://www.fokus.gmd.de/ietf/entry.html">Internet Engineering Task Force</A>).  
  50. The group works on an open forum basis and is open to the public.  The members of the
  51. HTML working group work closely with members of W3C 
  52. (<A HREF="http://www.w3.org/">The World Wide Web Consortium</A>) on 
  53. issues concerning the present and future state of the World Wide Web.  The World Wide
  54. Web Consortium is a group lead by Tim Berners-Lee.  Tim created the concepts that lead 
  55. to the World Wide Web while working at CERN, the European 
  56. Particle Physics Laboratory.
